Dr.  Sheldon Shi, Associate Professor in Renewable Biomaterials, University  of North Texas (UNT), gave a talk on the Center for Smart Materials and  Structures (CSMS).

He is the Member of APA - The  Engineered Wood Association, Tacoma, WA in 1999 and the assistant  professor in Mississippi State University ,2004.

Dr. Shi has been experienced in  processing and evaluation of renewable biocomposite materials, including  engineered wood-based products, natural fiber composites, etc. Dr. Shi  has also been actively researching on nanocomposites, adhesive and  adhesion, and etc.
